In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine rapper Waka Flocka Flame admitted that he plans on running for president. The rapper released a video for his campaign on 4/20 and plans to run for office in 2016.
The rapper says that he has a wide range of platforms that he is focusing on. The first, is legalizing marijuana because according to the rapper “the president gotta have a big, fat old blunt.” He also wants to ban dogs in restaurants and people with feet bigger than a size 13 from walking in public. He also would like to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour and refuses to wear suits to presidential meetings. The rapper also has some controversial views on women’s rights saying “I feel like women got all the rights already. What else do they want? My mother was my father and my mother so she controlled the house, she raised five men, put food on the table, she kept the lights on…Women are pretty tough right now. I feel like it’s not the thing of rights for women, it’s more of a respect thing.”
The rapper even mentioned Hillary Clinton, who just recently announced her campaign for the presidency, saying “Hillary [Clinton] is my only competition right now because the women love her and she’s honest and her husband is Bill [Clinton] so it’s a tough one…and I hope I make it.” There is only one problem, the rapper is too young to run for president being only 28 years old when one must be at least 35 to run.
