You might remember Scott Baio from his time as Chachi on beloved sitcom, Happy Days (or, you know, the show’s reruns). Sadly, he took to Facebook on June 16 to inform fans that his wife, Renee Baio, was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Baio’s status is equal parts uplifting and heartbreaking. He mentions, “Although 90% of these type of tumors are benign they can cause serious problems depending on the size of the tumor and the location.” The Baio family still doesn’t know if this tumor can be operated on.

But Baio never loses faith in his wife. He knows that after all the hardships she has been through, she’s emerged victorious “with her strong faith in God.” He also reports, “She has not shed one tear.” That’s so strong, and we at The Hot Zone have to applaud her.

This is not the first time the couple has had familial health problems. They has one child together, Bailey DeLuca. She is seven years old. When she was born in late 2007, doctors discovered that she had glutaric acidemia type one, a rare disorder in the blood. However, by the time the girl was just two months old, her blood was free of the disease.

We send the Baio family our best wishes and support and hope you do the same.

Ah! Chachi! Those were the “Happy Days”
Praying that his wife’s surgery is successful, and her recovery speedy.

Well I believe in God but not sure I’m a Christian. Still, will be hoping she recovers and lives a long life. Much health and happiness. Thanks for all the happy memories you gave me on all the TV shows.
