It seems as though everything was all fine and dandy. The relationship between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, both on and off set, seemed to be peaches and cream, or so we thought.
In a recent interview, the director of “The Notebook”, Nick Cassavetes, gave VH1 the biggest gossip of all time. He mentioned that the two were going through something while shooting the love film. Although there was a time when they dated in real life, we wonder what the drama could be since it couldn’t wait until after work.
“Maybe I’m not suppose to tell this story, but they were really not getting along one day on set,” says Cassavetes. “And Ryan came to me… And he says, ‘Nick come here.’ And he’s doing a scene with Rachael and he says, ‘Would you take her out of here and bring in another actress to read off camera with me?’ I said, ‘What?’ He says, ‘I can’t. I can’t do it with her. I’m just not getting anything from this.'”
Maybe they just needed a bit of space, or a break. The director went on and mentioned that the two had a screaming match right after that.
“We went into a room with a producer, they started screaming and yelling at each other,” Cassavetes said.
It seemed like the dispute stressed out the director as well. “I walked out. At this point, I was smoking cigarettes,” says Cassavetes.
Hopefully they can get it together and move on with the production of the movie that many of us loved.
