The Giants always seem to make the World Series in even number years.

The San Francisco Giants have punched their ticket to the World Series last night with a 6-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals to advance to their third World Series in five years. The Giants had to pull out heroics as left fielder Travis Ishikawa comes through in the clutch with the game winning three run home run in the bottom of the 9th. Fans at AT&T Park erupted when that happened.

Madison Bumgarner was far from perfect last night. He pitched eight innings, giving up five hits and three runs. He wasn’t as good as he had been previously in the 2014 postseason, but he did enough to get his team to the World Series. He has also been named the National League Championship Series MVP.

Perhaps the forgotten hero was Michael Morse. Just added to the NLCS roster, Morse hit thje game-tying home run in the bottom of the 8th inning.

The Giants being their hunt for a title on Tuesday when they face the Kansas City Royals in the World Series.

Should be a fun series.
