Talk about Scandal. Columbus Short, an actor in the hit TV series, threatened to kill his wife and then himself causing her to file for divorce. According to the restraining order she filed against him, he had a violent outburst and then made the threats.
Tuere Tanee McCall, his wife, said that at their home in Chatsworth he entered the room clearly intoxicated and poured wine all over her appearing as though he would have hit her with the bottle.
She claims that after he went into the kitchen and retrieved a knife, he pinned her to the sofa and began to choke her. During this episode he threatened to stab her in the leg if she lied as he ran through a list of men he believed she may have been having affairs with.
It was when he held the knife against her throat, after she denied the allegations, that he threatened to kill her and then kill himself. He also apparently slashed her tires when she tried to leave the house.
Records show that last September McCall filed for divorce but changed her mind last minute. This was not the first time Short showed violence. The last time it was reported was in February when, “Short and his wife started arguing and it got physical. Short’s kids – a two-year-old and 10-year-old – were watching.”
The restraining order would mean that he must move out of their shared home and according to certain sources he already has under supervision of the court. McCall is also filing for sole custody of their 2-year-old child.
