Scandal co-star, Columbus Short, must really believe he is a gladiator! The 31-year old actor, who plays Harrison Wright in the hit TV series, is under investigation by the Los Angeles police department for criminal battery. The incident occurred on March 15th, at a friend’s engagement party, located at Gabe’s Bar and Grill in L.A. According to witnesses, the altercation between Short and the 37-year-old male victim, began when the man insulted Short’s estranged wife. He stated “You might be richer than me but I get my girls to buy me everything I want including your wife”. Short was furious, and not to mention publicly humiliated. Without any warning, he repeatedly punched the man in the face, and left the bar immediately after. Witnesses claimed the beating was brutal. The man was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Short was spotted, weeks later, on the set of Scandal. He seemed very happy and looked as though the incident did not affect him. However, this is not the first incident that Short has been involved in. In 2010, he had a physical altercation with a man he was playing basketball with, and knocked several of his teeth out. In 2013, Short allegedly had an affair with a friend while he was married to Tannee McCall. As a result, McCall filed for divorce. Short’s biggest “scandal” was in 2003. He admitted to having an affair with pop star, Britney Spears, while he was married to his first wife, Brandi.
