Actor Sean Malone is in critical condition in a Boston hospital after nearly drowning to death on Monday. Malone was pulled from an ocean in Boston by an off duty firefighter and three local teens after being found floating face down in the water. The 54 year old was unconscious when rescuers got to him, as he swam too far out into the ocean and put himself in danger. According to a Boston fire department spokesperson, Malone’s family “is praying for the best.”
A firefighter named Chris Flaherty, was exercising with other firefighters on the beach and noticed the Boston native was swimming too far out. Flaherty went out on a paddle board towards Malone but couldn’t find him.
The heroic firefighter then flagged down three teens who were in a speedboat and they all searched for Malone until they found his unconscious body. The three teens, Joey Binda, Elliott Chauvet, and John Feeney, pulled Malone into the boat and helped Flaherty perform CPR as they returned to shore. Malone has been in famous movies like “Gone, Baby, Gone,” and “The Fighter.”
