Apple and Selena Gomez have been releasing brand new material—with her upcoming album reveals and the company’s iPhone 6S—this week, so why not combine the two?
The duo is teaming up to present Apple’s new iPhone 6S. Gomez, who is currently preparing to release her new album, Revival (out Oct. 9), makes a brief cameo in the new commercial for the latest iPhone update, seen taking a selfie on the red carpet.
The 23-year-old ‘Same Old Love’ singer takes a selfie with her fans using the iPhone 6S’ new front flash feature (great tool for selfie-lovers). The narrator says Gomez estimates that Gomez will “get a million likes,” to which she responds with a sweet “thanks.”
The commercial features various people, including actor and comedian Bill Hader—who fails to cook tortellini and asks for Siri’s help—from all over the world, using various new features on the phone.
Gomez appears quite glamorous in her cameo, in a stunning white dress, black nails, and a classic smokey eye.
Apple claims that the iPHone 6S comes with changes to essentially everything. In addition to the small changes like the rose gold color and front flash, the phone comes with new features like a 3D touch, a 12Mp iSight camera and 5MP FaceTime HD camera, 4K video recording, and Live Photo. The iPhone comes in 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of storage.
The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are now available for pre-order sales. They can be ordered on Apple’s website or with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, or Verizon. The price for the new iPhone is $649 (16GB), $749 (64GB), and $849 (128GB). The iPhone 6S Plus will cost an additional $100 depending on the size of storage.
