Shia LaBeouf is not going to rehab.
However, according to a statement from his representatives, the Transformers star is undergoing voluntary treatment for his alcohol addiction. LaBeouf is known for many things, but he is mostly recognized for acting out rather than his acting career.
LaBeouf had a run in with the law when he lit a cigarette inside of a Broadway theatre in New York City last week. Witnesses say that he was being very disruptive and drunk, he even yelled at stage performers on the set of “Cabaret“. He was charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment on Friday.
LaBeouf, one of the many actors who threatened to retire earlier this year. He appeared at the Berlin Film Festival with a bag over his head with a black marker writing that said “I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE,” the same phrase that he announced on Twitter for weeks. He had his first mugshot taken back in 2007 after a security guard claimed that LaBeouf was drunk and refused to leave a drugstore. He was later arrested at the scene of a car accident and under the suspicion of DUI.
LaBeouf’s court appearance for the “Carabet” incident is scheduled for July 24th. Stay tuned for more details.
