Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj caused quite a ruckus earlier this week with a fued on Twitter, after the nominations for MTV’s Video Music Awards were announced.
Thankfully, the feud was short-lived and the two have made up. It seems like it was all a misunderstanding.
“I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I’m sorry, Nicki. @NICKIMINAJ,” the 25-year-old singer tweeted Minaj.
Nicki was quick to forgive the “Bad Blood” singer.
“That means so much Taylor, thank you. @taylorswift13 <3 <3 <3,” the “Anaconda” singer replied. “I’ve always loved her. Everyone makes mistakes. She gained so much more respect from me. Let’s move on.”
So, it Taylor and Nicki have settled their feud. Yay!
But some stars aren’t done taking a jab at Taylor.
Looks like the 1989 singer’s past is catching up with her, and one actress is finding that there is nothing “Better Than Revenge” on Twitter.
Katy Perry got in a few words during the dispute, and now Camilla Belle is getting a few in too.
“Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…,” Perry tweeted out during the fued.
Camilla Belle backed her up, retweeting the tweet and adding, “Couldn’t have said it better…”
Swift has not responded to any of the bashing tweets, perhaps taking the higher road on this one. Keeping it classy. Good for you, Tay!
Belle was rumored to be the inspiration for Swift’s 2010 song “Better Than Revenge,” which was about a man-stealing “actress”. Belle had dated Joe Jonas for several months in late 2008, just weeks after the now former-Jonas Brother had broken up with Tay in a “27-second phone call.” She supposedly stole Jonas from Swift when they met on the set of the Jonas Brother’s music video for “Love Bug.”
Jonas is now dating one of Taylor’s close friends, Gigi Hadid, who made a cameo in her VMA nominated music video for “Bad Blood.” Clearly, Jonas and Swift have made amends, but Camilla Belle just had to get a little jab in there, even after all these years.
