The “Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans has turned herself in Thursday after Myrtle Beach police in South Carolina put a warrant out for her arrest the day before. Evans allegedly attacked her ex-fiance Nathan Griffith, who is also the father of her son Kaiser Evans, on Tuesday. Griffith was left with scratches and bruises all over his body, which then caused a warrant to be out for Griffith’s arrest. Authorities reported that Evans was calling Griffith to prompt him to come outside because she was damaging his car. She then proceeded to choke Griffith and dig her nails into him. Griffith is said to have reported that Evans smelled of alcohol.
Evans lawyer, Amy S. Lawrence, told U.S. weekly, “I think that in her heart she thought that maybe with them breaking up that they would get back together because they have a child together. And I think she’s just very hurt that he has moved on”. Evans claimed a whole different situation happened between her and Griffith, when she re-tweeted from her official twitter account that Griffith stole her phone and refused to hand over their son when she arrived. “For those asking, Jenelle was at Nathan’s to pick up her son”, the tweet read. “Nathan stole her phone & refused to hand over Kaiser. This is how it started. Whatever went down, they apparently didn’t intend for it to get this far with”, Lawrence implying Griffith won’t pursue the charges. “He will do everything that he can to get these charges dismissed for Jenelle”, Lawrence stated. “He understands that she’s hurt because they’ve broken up, and he’s dating somebody else and things escalated in a way they shouldn’t have. But he does not want her to have any kind of criminal consequence for this”. With the lawyer indicating that Griffith will not press charges, hopefully everything turns out well for both him and Evans, and especially the child.
