Since NBA Comissioner Adam Silver dropped the bomb and banned Donald Sterling from the NBA for life, everyone wants a piece of the tug-a-war play for the LA team. Sterling was banned due to his racist remarks towards his girlfriend, now leaving the Los Angeles Clippers up for grabs.
This morning, Forbes released an article about the 10 potential candidates to buy the Clippers. This article promotes the inquiry and wealth of some of the biggest names out there that plan on getting a piece of the cake, or maybe the entire bakery. Some of the names are Patrick Soon-Shoing, Magic Johnson, David Geffen, Larry Ellison, Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather and Chris Hensen.
One of the biggest names included is Dr. Dre, who gave TMZ his idea of buying the team. Alongside others such as Rick Ross and P. Diddy who shared their interest of the team on Twitter. Even Oprah Winfrey wants her shot at buying the Clippers as well. Why would anyone go against Oprah?
All named candidates, including Oprah, are saying that they are “very interested” in buying the Clippers. I don’t think anyone else has a standing chance. Others, along with myself, will sit back and watch the game unfold.
Let’s wait and see who will take the name as the new Los Angeles Clippers owner.
