The home of Teresa Giudice, co-star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s has been raided.
According to an inside source, the feds were granted a court order to raid their home. They arrived unannounced (of course) and Teresa was definitely caught off guard to say the least. Judge Esther Salas, the judge who sentenced her to go to prison on or before January 5, 2015, signed the warrant allowing them to enter. Reportedly they confiscated thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from the home. This is “interesting” since Teresa previously told the judge that she only had “costume jewelry” which she stated was $0 value .
The source said “The Giudices have a lot of possessions that they did not try to claim when first granted the opportunity to rightfully do so. Due to additional information that was received after the, the feds felt they had no choice but to do this. They [feds] took everything jewelry wise except her wedding band. They were there for hours and during the raid she was not allowed to leave the kitchen whatsoever.” Court documents state that Teresa owes $214,588.90 in restitution. The judge ordered the feds to seize property to pay off the amount prior to her prison sentence.
