Actress Valerie Harper was reportedly released from the hospital she was taken to, in York, Maine, on Wednesday, after she was found unconscious backstage before a performance. She received treatment on Wednesday night, and was released Thursday morning after her overnight stay, reports Deadline.
Now, there are reports circulating that the 75-year-old was actually transferred via med-vac to a larger hospital for more treatment.
According to Entertainment Tonight, sources have said the actress is in a coma.
Harper’s husband and manager, Tony Cacciotti, has not disclosed any information regarding his wife and client at this time.
The former The Mary Tyler Moore Show star was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2013, after beating lung cancer in 2009. She has continued working and fighting her battle, living past the life expectancy her doctors gave her.
The 75-year old was preparing for her performance in the second act of the musical, Nice Work If You Can Get It, when she was rushed to the hospital.
Despite Harper’s health difficulties, she maintains a positive attitude.
“When I wake up in the morning, I don’t say, ‘Oh, I have cancer.’ I say, ‘Another day. How you feeling? Good? Good,’” She told People in May.
