Caitlyn Jenner formerly known as Bruce Jenner will be gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated wearing nothing but an Olympic Medal and an American Flag. Jenner the 66 year old star of I Am Cait set the world record at the 1976 Montreal Summer Games and now the 40th anniversary of the tremendous achievement is almost here. This will be Jenner’s way of celebrating the event by being on the cover of Sports Illustrated with the Olympic Medal. Up until recently Jenner admitted that medal was at the bottom of a make-up drawer.
Jenner posted “I never wanted my kids to feel like they had to have a gold medal in order to be considered a success, I didn’t want them to constantly compare their own achievements to my time in the Olympics, and so I haven’t displayed my medal.” Jenner wanted all of the children to create their own path.
The reality star and former Olympian revealed this was an amazing time and achievement but now it’s an even greater time to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated. The 1976 victory led Jenner to be on the front of Wheaties cereal boxes all across America. This will be the first time Jenner will be posing with the medal since winning it in 1976 and becoming a household name.
