Mr. Big Shot has officially retired from the NBA.
Billups, who won the 2004 NBA Finals MVP and former Detroit Pistons star has decided to hang up his jersey after 17 seasons. Billups became a free agent this offseason when the Pistons decline his second and final year option of his contract. He had expressed interest in playing for Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers but he just felt it was time to retire two weeks after his 38th birthday.
Billiups, who will be forever known for his clutch shooting and leadership during the Detroit Pistons championship run in 2004. He finishes his career with averaging 15.2 PPG.
