So you’re staying in the city this weekend. Your friends are going away. You have the fear of missing out? Fear not! There are many events on and fun things you can do to celebrate your July 4th weekend.

BBQ, fireworks, drinks, fun times..they all lie ahead! On Tuesday, Macy’s fireworks will light up over the skyline. They are being held on the East River this year, so make sure to get there early if you want a good spot. They start at 9:25pm.

However, there are still many places to watch the infamous fireworks. What about some rooftop bars? Brooklyn Grange rooftop farm may be your spot or Grand Ferry Park. It’s in Williamsburg, what more persuasion do you need?

What about a full day of partying? Try the Fourth of July Beach Party. It went on for 15 hours last year.. so one would think that’s plenty of time!

A $60 entry free will get you in to Northern Territory, one of Brooklyn’s most famous rooftop bars.

If you like jazz, then hit up Blue Note Jazz Festival at South Street Seaport, Fulton St at Front St. It’s free.

Summer of Love at the Park costs $10 at Eli Escobar in Queens has your disco vibe yet remains old fashioned with a nice BBQ.

And what if you want a chilled out night? Then relax, grab some food, drinks and friends and chill out at home for the night. Simple is sometimes best. And don’t forget, you never remember the nights you get a full nights sleep!

Enjoy America’s birthday and be safe in this beautiful city! Happy 4th of July everyone!
