The words “Stay Strong” are famously tattooed on singer Demi Lovato’s wrists. It’s clear to see they’ve helped her, as the 22-year-old performer has stayed steadfast since her stint in rehab almost five years ago. Lovato was in rehabilitation for substance abuse and an eating disorder. But since then, she’s been one of the strongest heroes out there. Just this week, she launched a record label and campaigned for Mental Health Awareness. About the latter, Lovato has a great deal to say.
She claims she owes a part of her strength to her manager, Phil McIntyre. The two have worked together for about seven years, so it’s clear he knows a lot about the musician. Lovato incorporated a message for McIntyre into her launch speech for her new record label, Safehouse Records. Lovato mentioned that her manager “saved [her] life” and that when everyone else was turning their backs on her, he never wavered.
Here at The Hot Zone, we’re proud of Lovato and wish her the best of luck in her new endeavors.
