Taylor Swift has been called a ‘fashion icon’ over and over again, but if we weren’t convinced that she deserved that title before…we sure are now!
The 25-year-old artist will grace the cover of Vanity Fair’s upcoming September issue, and the cover shot by Mario Testino is amazing.
If you’ve ever heard her hit single, “Style,” you’ll know that Swift mentions the “red lip, classic thing” and boy, does she take that to the next level in this photo-shoot!
Swift’s Vanity Fair cover shot shows her making a wide-eyed almost innocent expression. Her makeup consists of the signature red lips and a thick black kitten-eye that makes her blue eyes seem even clearer.
Now, let’s talk about her outfit. She wore a more feminine take on a masculine classic: the black suit.
She rocked a pair of black pants and a white button down blouse that was given a more girly touch with a black scarf tied loosely around her neck in place of a tie. She had a black blazer draped over her shoulders and was sitting at a piano.
We can almost hear the lounge-y jazz music in our minds when we see this photo!
The old Hollywood look is completed by Swift’s golden hair in loose, pushed back waves and some sparkly chandelier earrings.
Reports indicate that the Vanity Fair interview will cover topics including Swift’s friendship with Kanye West, her newly relaxed feelings on relationships, and her beef with the music-streaming application, Spotify.
We can’t wait!
