Tila Tequila, glamour model, has been kicked out of the Celebrity Big Brother house after she posted in front of Auschwitz in Nazi gear, claiming to be ‘Hitler Reborn’
The American star has praised the German dictator before, even referring to herself as ‘Hitila’ has lead Channel 5 and Endermol to remove her from the house on Friday, just a day after she entered.
A channel 5 spokesman said that they were unaware about the views and attitudes Tila had shared on social media prior to the involvement in Celebrity Big Brother. Also sharing that ‘When they were brought to our attention, she was called to the Diary Room for a discussion with producers and was subsequently removed from the house.’
It has been reported that the 33-year-old will not be receiving her £113,000 payout from the show.
December 2013 sparked the beginning of controversy when she photoshopped a picture of herself standing in front of the Auschwitz concentration camp in a SS uniform cap and red swastika armband.
In her Anti-Semitic posts she describes Hitler as a ‘special and sweet kid.’
Not to mention, her Facebook profile alone has been suspended at least eight times due to offensive posts.
A petition to remove Tila from the Channel 5 show got 280 signatures.
Direction of communications at the campaign group, Jonathon Sacerdoti said ‘The British public has little time for attention seeking Nazi sympathizers like ‘Tila Tequila’. And he didn’t stop there.
‘Channel 5 and Endemol Shine UK ought to be ashamed of themselves for promoting such a deeply offensive and nasty person on prime time television.
‘Her repulsive writings on Hitler, the Holocaust and on Jewish people make her a totally unacceptable participant for this programme.
‘Channel 5 ought to remove her immediately from the programme, and apologise fully for their enormous error of judgement. She should then be given the exact amount of public attention as she deserves: none.’
Annabel richardson questioned: ‘Has everyone conveniently forgotten that Tila Tequila is a nazi sympathiser? #CBBUK.’
Gary Doyle said: ‘Quick reminder of when #TilaTequila dressed up like a Nazi and posted ‘Why I Sympathize with Hitler: Part I’ #CBBUK.’
Tila strongly denied that she is anti-semitic and was considering converting to Judaism.
Maybe this was for attention, who knows. But even in a blog she titled ‘Why I sympathize with Hitler Part 1,’ she described him as a ‘good man’ who deserved forgiveness.
You could imagine the uproar that came about.
She also said: ‘He was not a bad person as they have painted him out to be. Not even close!!! Hitler was a good man and it takes some f*****g balls for someone to say this out loud in this day and age, especially for a public figure like myself.’
She believes the Holocaust, or genocide if you wish, was just a side effect of war. She continued by saying ‘I am not going to sit here and say that I hate Jewish people because that is not the case nor is this about Jews. Here is a man who was not a coward, stood up for his country in a desperate time of need… and yet not only did he try his best to help his country and people get out of what was a time of depression, economic collapse, high unemploymeny. He lost the war and was painted out to be a monster after his death. This is what breaks my heart.’
And she continues to stick by her thoughts.
Tila has now made a public apology, saying: ‘Back in 2013 I made a statement about Hitler not being a bad person, and immediately realized soon after that I had made a terrible mistake that would ultimately come back to haunt me.
‘During that time I had been suffering from severe depression, and drug addiction for many years prior to that. I also attempted to commit suicide in 2012, and overdosed on prescription pills. I wanted to die. I felt worthless, and unloved as that pain continued to grow causing me to further spiral out of control.
‘Losing touch of myself, and reality. It was absolutely the lowest point I had ever reached in my life, and today I am truly sorry to everyone that I may have hurt along my self-destructive path. I have made many mistakes that I am definitely not proud about, but I am only a flawed human who is trying my best to be a better person than I was in the past.
‘I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible, wreckless, and selfish actions and I hope that everyone can forgive me for the pain that I may have caused. I want to be a good role model for my daughter because I don’t want her to go through what I have had to endure.’
So what do you guys think?! Should we accept the apology and just move on, or should she be more careful with her words next time?
