Australian singer-songwriter Sia Furler has been grabbing the world’s attention not only with her music but also with creativity and unique way of presenting herself to the media. Grammy award watchers were baffled as to why Sia performed her hit “Chandler facing a wall and also why she hit the red carpet in an oversized wig covering her face. Her appearance was just one among the many other creative ways she has covered her face. Since the release of her sixth studio album 1000 Forms of Fear, Sia has been making sure the camera catches rare glimpses of her face in the light of he rising fame.
But why is it that Sia who has been in the entertainment business for so long now want to make herself unrecognizable now? Sia has openly discussed the reasons behind her decision.
“I don’t want to be famous or recognizable. I don’t want to be critiqued about the way that I look on the Internet.” Said Sia in Chris Connelly from Nightline, “I’ve been writing pop songs for pop stars for a couple years and see what their lives are like and that’s just not something I want.”

Sia has had to battle an addiction to drugs and Alcohol over the years but has recovered and was ready to begin again with her most recent album.
