Fashionistas everywhere rejoiced today because designer, Alexander Wang, launched his collection at H&M at affordable prices for the “regular people” (everyone who isn’t rich and famous).
The Alexander Wang X H&M collection focuses on active wear but they are suited for everyone.
Wang told news reporters: “There’s a lot of people like me. I’m not an athlete, I don’t work out, but I wear gym clothes almost every day. People have such active lifestyles that they want to be comfortable. They want to be able to move and take the subway and run around.” This is a brilliant idea since New Yorkers are always on the move!
Wang initiated the launch by blogging that “The first 420 shoppers in line will be given a colored bracelet, 14 colors with one for each group of 30. Each group will have 15 minutes to shop the collection. After the last group, whatever is left will be available to everyone.” People were so excited that they camped outside of H&M last night just to be at the front of the line when the store opened today. To prevent people from selling multiple purchases on websites such as Amazon and EBay, customer s are limited to two items each per style.
