The first part of a documentary that is in honor of the late rapper’s debut album release, Welcome to JFK. The tribute for Chinx Drugz, “Far Rock,” is a collaboration between Drugz and another deceased rapper and friend, Stack Bundles, which appears on the album. Check it out.
Lionel “Chinx Drugz” Pickens was fatally shot on May 18. Sadly, the rapper passed away with a ton of promise and unfulfilled potential. It was no secret that Drugz made his mark on the rap world with his Cocaine Riot mixtapes and numerous collaborations with Coke Boys, rapper French Montana’s crew. The tragedy left Drugz not releasing a proper album.
On Friday August 14, Drugz debut album, Welcome to JFK, was officially released.
JFK is a 12-track project that the Queens rapper completed before he was killed.
Listening to the album only makes us wish he was here.
Drugz was a father, husband, and a friend. The 31-year-old was dearly loved in the streets.
What left his fans speechless was the last lyric on his last song, “Die Young,” with French Montana, Zack and Meet Sims.
“I pray I be ok when I grow up a little bigger. If I don’t, tell my babies daddy was a real n***a,” said Drugz.
Check out “Die Young” below.
You can download Welcome to JFK on iTunes on Friday August 14.
Rest In Peace Chinx Drugz.
