A coroner’s report revealed that blues legend, B.B. King, showed no traces of poisoning when he died on May 14th, and he only died of natural causes. According to a Las Vegas coroner, John Fudenberg, Alzheimer’s disease was the “primary contributing factor” of King’s death, including type 2 diabetes, coronary artery atherosclerosis, congestive heart failure, hypertension and cerebral vascular disease acting as “significant contributing factors.”
This report may come as a shock as King’s two daughters, Patty King and Karen Williams, allegedly accused his manager LaVerne Torey, and his longtime assistant Myron Johnson, of poisoning King with an unknown substance weeks before his death. Three of King’s eleven children also took Torey to court in April to fight for King’s assets including his multi-million dollar estate, however, Torey won everything.
With the coroner’s report showing no poisoning, and no further investigation continuing, it’s unclear what sort of action King’s daughter will take next. Is it possible that King’s daughters just care about his money and not his death?
