America’s high five is about to get happier. Western Michigan will open the doors to a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Holland, MI. It will be the region’s first.
Steve Millman, who is the president of NorthStar Commercial, recently revealed that the restaurant chain purchased the land where they’ll set up the new location. It used to be a Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, but now, folks in Western Michigan will finally be able to enjoy that famous nugget sauce. Delicious!
Reportedly, the company paid $1.8 million for the property. According to Millman, it’s still unclear when the restaurant will open or when renovations on the property will commence. He also doesn’t know why they chose the city of Holland, but we’re glad they did. Also, Millman said he’s heard that the company wants to open more locations in Western Michigan. We hope they do!
Presently, Chick-fil-A has two, other Michigan locations. There is one in the heart of Detroit and one in Rochester. For those in Western Michigan, the closest chicken restaurant is in Indiana. It’s about 90 miles away from Grand Rapids. But never fear! Chick-fil-A is happening, Westerners!
