On Tuesday, First Lady Michelle Obama went to Kensington Palace in London, England to meet Prince Harry for tea.
The first lady brought her two daughters Sasha and Malia, as well as her mother, Marian Robinson.
Prince Harry and the first lady discussed her “Let Girls Learn” initiative as well as their shared passion for helping out today’s military families. In fact, the pair spoke about this back in 2013 when Prince Harry came to the United States for an event at the White House that honored military mothers.
Prince Harry just left the military this month after he served for a 10-year period in the British Armed Forces.
Later that day, the first lady visited the Mulberry School for Girls in London to promote her “Let Girls Learn” campaign which seeks to help adolescent girls get an education around the world.
The former prime minister of Australia, Julia Gillard, accompanied the first lady to the school where she told the students what Prince Harry had discussed with her earlier that day.
The UK portion of this European tour will end with the first lady meeting the Prime Minister David Cameron before she heads to Italy on Wednesday.
