Bullying is a huge issue for kids in school around the world. With the widespread use of the Internet it is easier than ever to poke fun at and bully people with just the click of a button, without having to face the person. There are numerous campaigns to stop kids from bullying each other.

This California teen took her own approach to stopping bullies. A sophomore student at Centennial High School, Bakersfield in California handed out cupcakes to those who bullied her; a kind gesture. However, those cupcakes were her own form of personal revenge as she filled them with ingredients like, “bodily fluids, pubic hair, pills, mayonnaise, soy sauce and expired food.” She is now being investigated.

When the students asked why the cupcakes tasted so foul, she told them her secret ingredients.

Bakersfield Police Sgt. Joe Grubbs has said that the incident is being treated as a prank and nothing more. There is no evidence to suggest that bodily fluids (like semen) were actually in the cupcakes. They were all destroyed and therefore could not be tested. One kid who ate a cupcake was reported to be too ill to go to school the next day.

The school has now banned outside food from being shared with other students and they have cancelled their French food day.

The girl has not made any type of a public statement and has not been charged.

You may think that this act was gross and unnecessary but the fact that she felt she had no other choice but to do something like this is kind of sad. Often, kids who are being bullied are given no help from adults around them because they just don’t understand. In some cases in the past, the victims have been blamed for being bullied, which isn’t fair.

What do you think about the incident? Was it justified revenge or a bit too much?
