So it looks like the Clippers ownership is on the move after all.

As of Monday, a judge ruled that Donald Sterling’s wife didn’t defraud him in trying to sell the Clippers franchise, and would now give up ownership to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

The Clippers are to be sold for $2 billion, it marked the most expensive team sale in NBA history.

Within the next two weeks the franchise should have new ownership and at last will be able to put the controversy behind them. A new era will begin, and a sense of relief will come upon the NBA and new commissioner Adam Silver. Silver, who in late April made his first major headline in the league by issuing out a lifetime NBA ban to Donald Sterling for his racist remarks.

Hopefully moving forward, the Clippers and new owner Steve Ballmer will be able to focus strictly on basketball as the upcoming season is upon us. Although, I fear this isn’t the last we’ll hear from Donald Sterling. Stay tuned.
