According to KUSports.com, Kansas forward Jamari Traylor was arrested early Sunday morning at 2:17 am and charged with interfering with a police officer. This happened at the Oread Hotel and The Cave nightclub.
The weird part is that about 30 minutes before Traylor was arrested, Kansas football player Rodriguez Coleman was arrested and charged with battery at the exact same location.
University of Kansas Associated AD said, “We know about it. We are aware of it. We are gathering facts and will deal with it internally.”
The details of either arrest have not been released yet, and it is still unknown whether the two arrests were arrested or just a mere coincidence.
It sure does seem that over the past few years, more and more college athletes are getting in trouble with the law. I don’t think that the increase in arrests is a coincidence, but a strong sign of the direction our society is headed in. One thing is certain, and it is that change is needed.
