Keurig Recalls ‘Mini Plus’ Coffee Makers

Most of us love a  hot cup of Joe in the morning to help get us prepared for the day. Whether you’re going to work, running errands, or taking care of the children at home. Coffee gives us the extra energy we need to make it through long days and even longer nights.

Popular coffee brand, Keurig, is recalling 7 million single-serve coffee brewing machines because of reported burns. Keurig’s Mini Plus Brewing Systems, model number K10, can overheat and spray water during brewing. Ouch! (That will definitely wake one up in the morning).  The company received almost 200 reports of hot liquid spraying from the brewer and 90 reports of burn-related injuries.

The brewers have an ID number starting with ‘‘31’’. It’s printed on the bottom. They were sold online and in stores in the U.S. and Canada between 2009 and 2014.

If you happen to own one of those faulty coffee makers, call Keurig Green Mountain Inc. of Waterbury, Vermont, at 1-844-255-7886 to arrange for free repair.
