Lauren Hill, the college freshman basketball player who has been battling hard against terminal brain cancer, still manages to find the energy to help fundraising for “The Cure Starts Now” Foundation. Hill wanted to make a difference, so she set the bar high and wanted to raise $1 million by the end of 2014. And that’s exactly what she accomplished.
To help reach Hill’s goal, the foundation held a telethon on Tuesday and it paid off big. The milestone was reached when one single person anonymously donated $116,000. Needless to say, this is for a great cause, as all of the money donated will go toward cancer research.
So, no matter how much you have, just donate something towards cancer research as every dollar really does make a difference. Good luck to Lauren and her family to their battle against cancer.
