On Monday, Russian officials released that they would target some U.S. coalition planes in some parts of Syria.

This comes after the U.S. military shot down a Syrian Air Force jet on Sunday. Planes flying west of Euphrates River will be considered targets.

This is the first time ever that the U.S. shot down a Syrian plane, and it’s been 20 years since the U.S. has partaken in shooting down an aircraft in air-to-air combat.
