A family mourned the death of their teenage son Brandon Majewski who was struck by a car while riding his bike back in August of 2012. The driver who mowed down the teen is suing the family for suffering from emotional trauma. The SUV, driven by Sharlene Simon, crashed into Brandon, killing him, and injuring his 2 friends Richard McLean 16 and Jake Roberts on Innisfil Beach Road.
Now Simone, a former Innisfil resident is suing Brandon for emotional damages that she has encountered since the incident. She also wants to file a lawsuit against the Brandon’s parents, the two young boys who accompanied Brandon during the bike ride and also the County of Simcoe for failing to maintain the road.
In response to Simon’s dispute, Brandon’s mother Venetta Mlynczyk is devastated. “She killed my child and now she wants to profit from it? She says she’s in pain? Tell her to look inside my head and she will see pain, she will see panic, she will see nightmares”, said Mlynczyk during an interview.
Simon plans to sue the family, and others she say are involved, for more than $1 million dollars. It’s sad to see that the boy cannot rest in peace.
