Footage surfaced of a TransAsia Airways plane scraping past a major highway moments before it crashed into a shallow river, killing at least 31 people. The video has gone viral. The left wing of the plane hit an oncoming vehicle.
The plane was carrying 58 people and a search is ongoing for 12 of the passengers.
Four children were among the passengers, authorities said at a news conference. Reportedly, the plane had completed a safety check on January 26th. The pilot had more than 4,400 hours of flying experience, while the co-pilot had more than 6,000 hours.
