I’ve heard that giving birth is rough and you have so much to worry about in the moment. Well, this Maryland woman not only had to worry about the human being trying to exit her body, but also the man holding a gun up to her, and demanding that she give him her money.

At 4:30am on Sunday, the woman was making her way to her car with a man who was helping her when Cornell Robinson, 44, approached them both. Devery Kelley, 24, waited in a nearby stolen vehicle. Both men fled when police arrived thanks to a call made by an unknown passerby.

Both men dumped the car, threw the gun and ran before police caught up with them. Charges are still pending, according to CBS Baltimore. The woman was taken to the hospital and her status is unknown.

So let this be a lesson: if you’re giving birth, look both ways before walking on to the street to ensure you don’t get mugged. Just your normal precaution, really.
