It has been revealed that former NFL Linebacker Adrian Robinson died from suicide by hanging himself according to what the Philadelphia medical examiner’s office told the Denver Post on Monday. There are no further details about the death, including why he committed suicide. Robinson was an accomplished NFL Linebacker who went undrafted coming out of college, but was able to play for many successful teams and played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles. Just recently, Robinson was signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. Robinson was a football star in college, which includes him receiving a prestigious Defensive Player of the Year award in 2009 while playing at Temple University.

- Temple University tweeted on Sunday, “It’s a sad day for the Temple Athletics Family as we mourn the loss of Adrian Robinson.”
- The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Robinson’s representatives stated a post on Facebook, “Adrian was a beloved father, son, brother, friend and teammate. We ask that you please respect his family’s privacy during this difficult time, and especially keep his daughter Avery Marie in your prayers. Thank you for all of your support and consideration.”
Robinson was only 25 years when he died in Philadelphia. He also has a daughter who is less than a year old.
