It’s that time of year again as the Summer 2017 season is approaching, which means good times and good food! There’s nothing better than a great brunch right?! Atwood Kitchen & Bar Room has established itself as one of New York City’s premier restaurants attracting business professionals and locals. Owners Daniel Rieger and Evan Rosenberg called on Gil Bouhana of decorated cocktail bar Milk & Honey to develop an inventive beverage program, while chef Brad Warner, former Chef de Cuisine at The General, helms the kitchen. They combined their years of experience to create Atwood, located at 986 Second Avenue between East 52nd and East 53rd street.

The Hot Zone had a recent visit to Atwood in search for NYC’s best brunch and we found it! The evening kicked off as we walked through the doors and were immediately greeted by their professional staff. We were then seated in the back area with a nice cozy vibe along with other patrons.

Brunch began with drinks; we opted for a glass of Prosecco and a Mimosa, two perfect drinks to start with. Next, it was time to order our food. We ordered Avocado Toast with smashed avocado, manchego and crispy garlic, the Atwood Kitchen Burger with caramelized onion, applewood bacon, gruyere, house mayo, thrice-cooked fries and Macaroni & Cheese with sweet potato, white cheddar, bacon and mushrooms. Our food was delicious and generously portioned, we barely finished and had some left over as well! The presentation was beautiful and service was impeccable.
