SpaceX founder Elon Musk wants to put a million people on Mars by 2100.
Who’s ready for a trip to the red planet?
There have been talks of space agencies preparing to send humans to Mars by 2030.
But Elon Musk, has a bigger plan in mind, instead of a few colonists, he wants to send a million people to the red planet by the end of the century.
Good luck finding a million people who will willingly give up their lives at home to jeopardize the expansion of humanity. The Tesla-founder believes that colonizing Mars will be the only way to save humanity from extinction.
‘I think there is a strong humanitarian argument for making life multi-planetary,’ Musk said in a recent interview with Ross Andersen of digital magazine Aeon.
‘Excluding organic growth, if you could take 100 people at a time, you would need 10,000 trips to get to a million people,’ Musk explained.
I don’t know about you, but I’m in no rush to play hero and save humanity, at the moment…I’ve got bills to pay.
