Well this could make for a sticky situation…
LaGuardia Airport workers who clean the aircrafts for Delta Airlines have taken a stand and walked off the job late Wednesday night. The day-long strike is due to Ebola related healthy and safety issues.
Of those who went on strike, it’s said to be somewhere between 100 to 200 employees of Air Serv, who clean the Delta planes at Terminal D. Last night around 10 p.m. is when they walked off the job, but will return for work this evening for tonight’s shift at 6:30 p.m.
Air Serv was forced to bring replacements for the day, as majority of the employees were picketing.
“Ebola is the word of the day but the workers are scared (of various work conditions) for many other reasons,” a 32BJ spokeswoman Amity Paye said.
