President Obama never fails to voice his honest opinion on Donald Trump’s ineligibility to be president, and his most recent critique against the Republican nominee proves no different. On Tuesday, the president voiced his strongest critique of Trump to date, callin him: “unfit to be president,” and “woefully unprepared.” Obama also questioned the Republican party’s support on Trump’s behalf during a press conference at the White House with Prime Minister Lee Hsein Loong.
“If you are repeatedly having to say what Trump says is unacceptable, why are you still endorsing him?” Obama’s rants comes amid the ongoing controversy between Trump and Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the parents of a slain U.S. Army Captain who criticized Trump at the DNC. Quite a few Gold Star families who lost loved one(s) serving in the military urged Trump to apologize after insinuated that Khan’s wife could not speak due to islamic customs.
Khan informed MSNBC that the other message in his speech was to urge the Republican party to tell Trump “enough” with calling it an “immoral imperative”— or risk “sinking ship.”
“What does this say about your party that this is your standard bearer? This isn’t a situation where you have an episodic gaffe,” Obama said. “There has to be a point in which you say ‘This is not somebody I can support for president of the United States.”
Looks like Trump has really done himself in this time.
