The son of famous actors Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett has had frequent problems with the law, and now he’s in trouble again. Redmond O’Neal has been sentenced to state prison for three years, after admitting to violating terms of his probation, after he had a felony for possession of heroin.
The thirty year old had a warrant issued for his arrest on April 3rd. Redmond O’Neal was arrested by Culver City Police Department, and was being held in jail on no bail at the Los Angeles County Twin Towers Correctional Facility. After finally admitting to violating his probation on July 10, judge Keith Schwartz sentenced the troubled son to state prison for three years.
The famous son has battled a heroin addiction for many years, and has been to rehab multiple times. In 2014, while still on probation from a heroin possession, he relapsed, and admitted it to the court. It’s expected he will only serve sixty percent of the sentence, and he could even be out as soon as next year because of prison overcrowding, and for 302 days he has served in the past.
