The terrorist organization known as ISIS, released video footage of the beheading of an American journalist James Foley. US intelligence has confirmed the authenticity of the barbaric video.
News broke Wednesday that a handful of senior U.S officials said ISIS recently threatened to kill Foley to avenge the airstrikes that have occurred over the past two weeks against Jihadist advancing on Mount Sinjar.
The video that surfaced on Tuesday, titled ‘A message to the U.S’ shows Foley, reciting a pre-written statement given to him by abductors. Foley is shown on his knees in an orange jumpsuit recites lines such as ‘I wish I had more time.’ ‘I guess, all in all, I wish I wasn’t American.’
The chilling footage then shows an ISIS militant, calling out towards America and President Obama blaming him for the murder of Foley. It’s clear they’re trying to send a direct message one of which we won’t take lightly. After the execution, the militant then delivers another warning, showing another American journalist. Steven Joel Sotloff, whose been missing since August 2013, saying: ‘The life of this American citizen, Obama, depends on your next decision.’
President Obama made it clear early Wednesday afternoon that the U.S won’t back down from ISIS.
‘No just God would stand for what they did yesterday, and for what they do every single day’, he said.
