It’s that time of year again as the Summer 2016 season is upon us. The Hot Zone thought there was no better way to ring in the Summer than making a recent visit to Uncle Jack’s Steakhouse in New York City. The evening kicked off as we walked through the doors and were immediately greeted by professional staff and a well decorated restaurant, what a beautiful scene. Walking up the staircase to our table on the second floor, the atmosphere was one of the greatest impressions ever. Decked with a beautiful chandelier, we were not expecting such a wonderful atmosphere from a steakhouse. Our table was set with crisp white linen table clothes, wine glasses and beautiful plush comfortable red chairs.

The night began with drinks; we opted for the Lemon Drop Martini and an Amaretto Sour, two perfect drinks to kick off both the night and the Summer season. Next, the appetizers arrived which were delicious and very generously portioned, we barely thought we could eat our main course! But that fear didn’t stop us from sampling the array of surprises that were in store for us. The appetizers we selected ranged from Fresh Buffalini Mozzarella Tomato Salad, Maryland Style Crab Cakes, and one of our favorite’s which was the Wagyu Kobe meatballs.

Although we were already stuffed after the appetizers, we ordered an array of entrees as well because we knew they would be too good to pass up. Selecting the Porterhouse for two features both the Filet And The New York Strip Cut, 44oz. We also had two delicious sides of macaroni and cheese with bacon and creamed spinach, we were more than excited for our meal. Everything proved to be as good as it looked; the Porterhouse was tender, juicy and seasoned just right. Since we are picky when it comes to steaks, the absolute satisfaction we felt just proved how delicious it really was. If you are a steak lover, you must try Uncle Jack’s Steakhouse because their steaks are without a doubt, simply the best we’ve ever had in New York City. As for the Five Cheese Mac with bacon…it was to die for! Uncle Jack’s is not just a dinner or a restaurant, it’s an experience not to be forgotten!
