If you are looking for a cozy atmosphere with delicious drinks and food, then Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar is the place to be! I was in heaven when I experienced Ayza on Valentine’s Day. I was truly amazed at how packed Ayza was with the cold weather outside. Yes, it may have been very cold outside, but it sure was hot inside Ayza. There were plenty of Valentine couples enjoying a loving weekend over great drinks, chocolate and food…what a wonderful combination! Ayza, is the perfect date night spot where couples can sit back and relax and enjoy a variety of wine and chocolate. It is also great for a Girl’s Night Out or even colleagues getting together for after work drinks. Their outdoor seating area is great for a nice spring or summer day as well, so this is definitely the hot spot to be all year round!
The wait staff and owners, Zaefer and Aytac, are incredibly accommodating and attentive, making sure you have the best experience at Ayza. Aytac met me at my table and made me feel extremely welcome with open arms. This warm reception left me highly anticipating what was in store for the rest of the night. I knew my experience at Ayza would be amazing, and it definitely was!
The menu offers over 90 Red and White wines, champagne, chocolate, cheese platters, small plates and dinner. Each drink is paired with delectable chocolates by Jacques Torres, which just melts in your mouth. This is quite a fitting touch, especially for Valentine’s Weekend. I highly recommend the small bites like the Angry Chicken Lollipops (my favorite), White Truffle Pizza, Grilled Baby Shrimp, and for dessert the Twenty-Layer Crêpes Cake Brûlée. Each pair nicely with a crisp, clean white wine. I also had the Raspberry Chocolate Martini which was to die for! For chocolates, try the Love Bug, which is key lime ganache covered in delicate white chocolate or the Got Milk Chocolate, which is milk chocolate ganache with a kiss of cognac.
Ayza has made some changes to the decor of their Wine & Chocolate Bar, and has also made some new additions to their menu. Their new Grilled Lemon Chicken was so flavorful and tender, that it had my mouth watering before I took the first bite. I loved it and will definitely order it again when I return. I am not really a fan of lamb chops, however Ayza added Baby Lamb Chops to their menu and I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted it. That is a true sign of good food — when you can win my finicky taste buds over. If you want a break from all the wine and just want a new refreshing drink, please try the new Cucumber Cooler – Hendricks, cucumber and bitters. This drink makes you think of Summer, which I am sure we all can’t wait to get here. Now, to cap off my amazing drinks and dinner samples, the waiter bought out the most delicious dessert I have ever tasted. Even though I was full and completely satisfied, I couldn’t pass up on this new to the menu dessert. He bought out the Assorted Chocolate Fountain with bananas, strawberries, brownies and pineapple. The chocolate fountain was heated by a lit flame underneath, as I dipped the brownies, bananas, strawberries and pineapples in the hot chocolate all night long. Heaven is the only way to describe this dessert ladies and gentlemen, but don’t take my word for it….you must go and try it for yourselves!
Please check out the mouth watering photos below of all the food, drinks and dessert I talked about above and was fortunate enough to sample. My overall experience at Ayza was exceptional and highly recommended. I will surely be back again soon! Maybe even as soon as tomorrow. 🙂 See you all there!!
